I've lived in the area and have been over to this park often. It's got two playgrounds, baseball, tennis court, and a community hall which they rent out for events. (How boy scouts when in seen it being used.) They used to have restroom in the back open to the public, but the time have changed that.

Very pleasant midmorning. Parents bringing little ones to the fenced area, hummingbirds in pine trees, light breeze, efficiently busy maintenance worker and one squirrel a tad peeved I had nothing to.share. How rude of me.

Very well maintained, plush, shade trees.. It was founded with care for all who would come. The founder built an activity building, complete with full kitchen. Here is where the "Camelia Shows" were held by Mrs. Myrtle Johnston for many Woodlake neighbors and for many years. After her passing, her daughter Carolyn Slobe carried the torch for a time. Some unwanted stray folks wander in, but they clearly are just there for shade from the Sun. They do leave by dusk. If I had children, I would feel safe at this park. It is in a great community of homes that have been there since 1924-1976ish. Very nice homes. So if you're reading this and you have kids and wanted to make sure it was safe, it is. It's also quite large so you can have lots of space between you and others. Please show respect for the posted signs in the Woodlake neighborhood. Drive slowly. The roads are very narrow and lined with cars, so you don't have enough reaction time to stop for an animal or a person darting out. And there is an elementary school as well so be wary of students after school is over. Also please have respect for the homeowners of Woodlake. Turn down the jam some, don't speed, and feel free to wave to folks as you pass each other. Great park.
