The spot has a nice setup. I went for the first time and tried the chicken sandwich with macaroni and fries. I've had better sandwiches, but it was still pretty solid. Nothing to go crazy over. The fries were excellent. The macaroni was absolutely terrible lol.

The Cookshack is ssooo good! This is 100% a place you have to put on your DFW TDL! We ordered the chicken and waffles, chicken tacos, and chicken and ribs. I went a bit too hot for chicken (Texas hot, and I am an avid lover of everything spicy) but I was still able to eat it, the spicy seasoning flavor is very tasteful. .. My wife got mild and it was super mild. I think medium is a perfect blend. Overall everything was delicious. Perfectly cooked, and tasted very fresh. Quality is clearly a priority here. The restaurant was clean and all staff were very well trained and presentable. The little deserts they have... Oh Lord... Soo good! Give it a try, you will not regret it.

Okay. First of all, this type of eating establishment is NOT my cup of tea. It would not be my choice when eating out but, because I was with a buddy who loves this type of food, I went along. It's so out of my zone, I was asking for suggestions. I decided on the 3 chicken tenders, Texas Hot - of course - and the sweet potato fries. I was a little concerned about the spiciness because the cashier and my buddy said it was habanero hot, but that wasn't the case at all. I should have known better 😁 Nevertheless, the food is okay. What can I say? It's fast food.

Don’t know what to do for dinner, go here. That’s what I did. Solid 4 stars, and I wish you can do halfsies stars. Good, quick, and pretty good price especially for the quality. First time at Cookshack and will be back. It did not dissapoint. Got the Chicken and Waffles which you can see by the photo. Mac and cheese had a home cooked vibe going on and the waffles had a nice crisp but weren’t dry. I got medium heat (fair amount if you’re sensitive to spicy),mixed with the sweet was very pleasurable to the taste buds.
