DPD you need to listen. In 2014, I was living with my mentally ill mother while attending TWU. I had just moved to Texas. I had always protected her, but one night after being physically attacked, I called 911. I had no place to go. I was hit so hard in the face my glasses broke in half and the lense cracked. I was in tears and I just wanted to feel safe ( I had no family in Texas). 2 police officers came and spoke to my mother while I was outside. They immediately started to repremand me when I was already shaken up. It was the same thing that I always went through when I was a minor: the kid is lashing out and the parent knows best. I didn't mention her mental illness, the fact she's off her meds, the long history of her allowing others to abuse me as well. Anyone who did not judge me from the words of another, would have seen my helplessness. It's 2022 and I STILL think about this encounter. The officer getting frustrated and demanding "DON'T PATRONIZE ME" The officers left and did nothing. Not even a warning to my mother. I packed up everything that I had and lived IN MY CAR until I could figure out some other arrangements. I was 18 years old and had to sleep in a car, go to work, shower at my school and protect myself with a knife in case somebody tried to break in to my only home. I think about this because this led me into a huge depression that could have taken my life. DPD, I am 26 years old now. I am in a healthy marriage, a cancer survivor, a loving mother, and I have my dream career through hard work and dedication. There may be some similar to me that an encounter like this would have done a lot more damage to their mental health. Please have officers, the ones that are there to enforce law and protect people, be trained in what to look in domestic violence situations and provide a list of resources for those that need help. Luckily, I called a hotline and found out I could receive some help through some public services. What if I never called that line? Just ask, "What if..?"

Just another example of the pitiful police departments in Texas. How could you watch all of those videos of that landlord harassing, threatening (WITH A GUN) the international student and NOT do anything about it????!!!???? Reddit is slamming you guys!!!!
T E
SMH. No charges against that landlord. Crooked.

These clowns refused to help an international student being threatened with a gun by his landlord. He was basically held hostage in his home! Shameful.

Unless a child or animal is locked in the car they would tell you to call a local locksmith or tow company.
Open records requests are now done Online.
You didn't get a datw
The answer is that the postal service doesn't recognized it. When the pool came in no beetter called 911 to get a correct address a a
do not listen to erick he's an idiot
My wife and I have made several attempts to call the non emergency line and it always goes to voicemail.
There is also a drop box at Walgreens on University Dr. If that's closer
The reason I ask is because there was a witness to the accident that called in to 911, which he put the name and phone number of the witness in the report and what he concluded in the report and what the witness told me are different. The insurance company of the person who caused accident is basing there decision on the officer's opinion and not on the witnesses statement.
they do fingerprints between 9 and 3 Monday to Friday. it is $10 for up to 3 cards
you go to the front desk and ask for the Jail log its public information. You can see who is in, when they came in etc.
I don't understand the question. Sorry.
