It’s always a pleasure coming in to my appointments, quick, easy and to the point, yet very helpful with any questions or concerns i have.

Update: the director reached out and apologized on behalf of the staff. I truly appreciate the gesture and being genuine. My sister is in the program and her experience has been great. I guess it was just a one off with me. If there was a negative star, I would give it that. I went here without having any knowledge of what I'm getting myself into and was hoping the initial consultation would answer all my questions. From the time I arrived, the staff didn't seem welcoming. They would just give instructions.. do this, do that. It was pretty clear they didn't want to be there. Fine, no biggie. Then I was sent to a room to wait wait for Dr Patricia. The room itself felt like I was in a prison cell. The doctors table was further away from where I was sitting (in a corner blocked in around the walls). I get it, COVID.. But they could have had a better setup. The Dr came in (again, no welcome or small talk) and went straight into my chart. She didn't explain the entire chart to me either so I had no clue what any of the body fat calculations meant. Like how am I on average? No clue. She then went on taking about the supplements and prescriptions she would provide. I kept asking questions like what is each supplement designed to do.. What are the side effects.. she kept telling me she would go over it but then asked me if I wanted to sign up for the program. I was so confused! Once I accepted (peer pressure), she told me all the information was in the booklet and to just read through it. So basically didn't answer anything. After that, the nurse came in to take my blood sample (I had warned her that I get fainty). After poking me twice she couldn't find my blood so then she gave up. By this time I was already feeling woozy. Then the last thing needed was to put a B12 shot and right when that went in I went down on my knees. My BP dropped and The nurse left the room and just told me that when I'm ready to come outside for checkout. I was left inside the room by myself trying to get my BP back up to normal by fanning myself. There was no help from the staff! Never going back here again....

Hi! We do not accept insurance. If you have an FSA, it's possible to use that. Currently the initial visit is still only $99 with $79 follow-up visits.

Do you guys accept walk ins or do I really need to do an appointment?? I ask because my schedule is very hetic and just like any normal day at work I can be told just to be off---which has cause my weigh go from left to right up and down just weird.

Hi! Thanks for the question. We are not currently accepting walk-ins, but we do have some same-day openings available. If you find yourself off work please just give us a call (you can ask for Jamie) and we will do our best to work you into the schedule that same day. It's really helpful if you're able to fill out your patient forms before you come! https://www.houstonweightloss.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/30/2021/01/new-np-forms.pdf
