I went to Dr. Untal for about a year or so in total pain. I was given Norco which actually helped with other bad pain in my body, but I kept complaining about the pain in my jaw and the feeling of having a constant absess in my teeth, and the severity of stabbing pain in my neck and ear as well (just on the left side). He never questioned much about my pain even though I begged for some kind of testing for this facial pain I'd been in this pain which was becoming worse for SIX (6) years not knowing how I was going to make it through each day. I was just diagnosed by my new Primary Care Physican last week with Trigeminal Neuralgia. I was given the proper medication for that and within two days, six years of this horrifying pain was GONE! I really wish Dr. Untal could have asked more questions, done more tests or tried me out on the Tegritol. I had totally given up on life from this horrible pain. I won't go to this place again for any reason and highly do NOT recommend them as they are definitely not thorough, or at least Dr. Untal is not thorough. To think I could have been out of this pain much earlier . . .

The star is for staff (very nice) the Dr.s care about 1 thing only $ if your not there for workman's comp or personal injury don't waste your time! They were being served some kind of legal papers while I was waiting. They told her to give them to their attorney who was in same building

This place is the most disorganized management I have ever been too..from the beginning the doctor ordered a X-ray of my arm..the place I went to never got the referral..call management again , they said they would send again go to get X-ray they still didn’t receive it.i have spent hours on the phone with Santa Maria & slo..then they said they weren’t seeing me anymore cause I said a bad remark about the doctor..I had never even met the doctor or had an appt at that time…then I got that taken care of an they scheduled me two appt. With the surgeon for the same thing..this office is just horrible..I was in pain management with lags pain management for 14 years before they went out of business an never had any problems…this office has workers that don’t know how to do their job..I wouldn’t recommend to anyone..poor management!

The male Dr. Here is sadistic ,and discriminated against me because am LGBTQ. Refused to answer my questions ,was very hostile in his tone and body language . Example....he asked me what percentage does my current medication help with pain ? I said 90%. To which he immediately replied .I am going to cut your dosage in half . Then when I was politely asking questions in regards to this he became volital and cancelled my appt. This Dr. Is cruel and unstable in temperament and is unsafe to handle the needs of chronic pain with professional courtesy and compassion. Be careful he is a walking she'll of hostility and anger which no doctor should be in his professional capacity
