Since Christ is the reality of the Sabbath (Colossians 2:16-17) and keeping the Sabbath means to find rest in Christ (Matthew 11:28-30), certainly the church does encourage all believers to keep the Sabbath. If the question is about not working on a particular day of the week, then this is not something that the church has a definite guidance on (as also in fact, Christ himself "broke the sabbath" and addressed this - Mark 2:27-28)
