great park! the views are absolutely gorgeous. there’s tennis courts.. and to be honest, i’m not sure what else. i just go for the basketball courts. pretty good courts, good baskets, and usually good players around. i just wish there were more courts, of course. it will get pretty packed on weekend evenings. would be nice to know when the lights go off. maybe i missed it, but i haven’t found the consistency yet.

My wife and I absolutely loved this little gem of a park in downtown Palm Springs. Beautifully laid out and full of varieties of plants and trees, it's a delightful place to go walking or just relax on the expanse of grass. Definitely will visit again.

Ruth Hardy Park was a delightful experience for my dog and myself. There were several other dogs they're all friendly and most dogs are leashed although you can let them run but you just need to be aware of community police driving through. Sometimes you will be given a warning but generally it's just a verbal warning if it's the first time they've seen you with a dog off-leash. I like to let my dachshund run just for a few minutes just to get some exercise and the rest of the time we spend on the leash. It's a good place for kids to go they have a lot of great slides and things to climb on and all different types of things that are enjoyed by children so it's also the location of the City Community picnic Every Spring and it's it's great for Gatherings picnics reunions that type of thing. There's a lot of open space at Ruth Hardy and also a lot of trees where people come to sit and it's especially popular with people walking their dogs. Also the tennis courts are very important now to those that play tennis because demuth Park had a number of tennis courts but they have all been turned into pickleball courts someone told me that there was one tennis courts still at the Moose but there are 12 pickleball courts there.

Lots of free parking. Well maintained. Dog friendly. Playground for kids. Tables for picnic are first come first serve. Best park in Palm Springs.

They actually stay on until 10-11 pm. They are not motion activated. There is a button you must push for them to come.
