Enjoyed our stay! We plan on coming back in October! Really enjoyed room # 6, the barn room! Very unique and enjoyed the concert off the balcony! The check-in process was super easy! It's under new ownership! This time we stayed in the Florida room!

The rooms are historic clean and large. The mattress need to be replaced. Better toiletries need to be furnished.

The Historic Whiting Hotel may be Historic, but if an "original experience" means paying a big price to stay in a dump, then I guess an original experience is not for us. Very little has been done in the way of renovation or renewal of this old property. We were expecting a lovingly preserved and modernized suite. But, what we got looked like Ralph Kramdon's apartment in the Honeymooners. Dirty and dated. Not at all what the pictures would lead you to believe. Don't book this hotel. You won't be pleased if you do.

If you have issues with climbing stairs I do not recommend. Otherwise great historic place. If you are looking for a place to step back in time, everything old and has wear and tear, stay here!!! Loved the sink in the kitchen!! If you want all sparkly and new, you won't be happy here. We absolutely love all of the quirky uniqueness of it, down to the light that comes through the door. It kept the way to the bath room lit! LOL.

We just stayed there last week for the holidays. The room we had was a king suite. Full kitchen, king sized bed. It does not look like a hotel from the outside. The entrance is odd. You park in the back and then walk across a small bridge to walk across the back of the hotel to get into it. It's not very appealing at first but my husband and I are always up for an adventure. Once we got into the room we were pleasantly surprised! We will be back!!
