These officers took me to a hospital after a attack and then later a dv shelter , on one of my last encounters they picked me up at a gas station by the greyhound in rockford Illinois. after the a**holes from the Delavan police department was unfriendly , rude , suspicious acting and like I was lying or not corroborating with them. It was a traumatic time & the fact they left me at a greyhound station in Rockford ,Illinois at 2am was the worst thing that could have happened to me at that point.

Your experience depends on who you are dealing with. You can usually tell who is actually there to help the community, and which ones apparently feel they should be paid to sit around a safe community with no responsibility. I feel bad for the good people in the department. I have specific examples and names if necessary.

If you're not part of the good ole boys club you won't be treated fairly. What a sad department that uses favoritism and uses no objectivity in dealing with its residents.

They're officers need to learn how traffic lights work. Blocking miles of traffic at a green light so for 10 cars, then waiting for more and keeping us blocked. Let the light do its job, just cus your bored smh
