This visit was 90% of the purpose of this month long vacation in Illinois & Wisc. If you are anywhere near or in Chicago please visit this headquarters building of The Elks. It is open noon to 4pm. Check their webpage. The building is remarkable, built literally 100 years ago. It contains the history of The Elks, a charitable group and social group open to anyone who believes in God. There are hundreds of Lodges all over the USA whose goals are to promote the American Flag, help veterans and to help children.

Enter from east entrance and ring the doorbell.
Depends on your House rules at your lodge
There is no camping allowed at the Memorial; a local lodge may be able to assist you better.
This is the national memorial where we celebrate the lives of veterans. Here is a little more help elks are members who look out for each other not drop dimes. You can be suspended as a member for hearsay. You may look up the definition if you like. I think it would be best if you read your bylaws before blasting a fellow elk. Remember your four principles of being an elk; charity, justice, brotherly love, and fidelity.
How much does it cost to park near the Elks Memorial? Is it easier and/or cheaper to take the train or Uber?
