We moved my mom into the rehab facility yesterday and the entire staff have been extremely welcoming, kind, courteous and professional. Facility is very clean with numerous wings for various health concerns. And multiple dining areas to accommodate the residents. Mom even likes the food.

The first text said it was from Lakeshore Rehab, not River Crossing. Thetefore, I thought it was from Lakewood NH in Plainfield. Sorry for the misunderstanding. River Crossing could use some work. -- When she first was admitted there, I couldn't visit because I was in the hospital. She wasn't calling my cell phone & my calls weren't getting thru. Come to find out she didn't even have a phone at her bedside. -- Also, her tv remote wasn't working. She had to watch CNN for 3 days. She told me she asked & asked for a phone & remote. I notified the floor nurse. Within minutes maintenance brought her a brand new remote and phone. -- Once when I came to visit her at lunchtime, I found my mother's morning pills left at the bedside. I asked why she didn't take them and she said the water cup was too heavy for her to lift & she was afraid she would spill it on herself. -- My mothers room was the last one at the end if the hall. Her meals were luke warm or cold. No one offered to reheat them. There's a nice variety of food, it's just the hot food wasn't hot. -- Windows & blinds very dusty with cobwebs. -- I visited with her once for 5 and a half hours, and not one person stuck their head in to see if she needed anything. Like I said, it needs some work.

Grandmother is in there for rehabilitation from a previous infection. We went in to visit with her and spent the day there. In 6 HOURS not one person came to check up on her. Not for vitals or anything. I find this to be a bit on the unacceptable side considering her age and especially the reason for her stay. We are pulling her out this afternoon.
