Parking is problematic. Expensive parking garage next to Weiss hospital almost always has space. Free parking on Lawrence by lakefront. The church has available parking many times across street, tricky.
If you want official permission, contact the church. But there are many homeless people in the area who would appreciate whatever is offered.
