Took one of my 2 cats that I purchased from PetSmart during Covid to Banfield Hospital to meet & speak to the doctor. They wanted me to give my cat the Rabies Vaccine before seeing the doctor. I told them that Petsmart told me that both the cats became deadly sick after they were given the vaccine last year. The doctor told her to tell me that we will not see the cat until he takes the vaccine. I let them know that they were not going to kill my cats and left. I thought the doctor was rude, pathetic and inconsiderate. He or she didn't have the courtesy to come out of hiding and at least give me an explanation. What if my cat was hurt, bleeding and needed immediate attention would he or she have refused him. This person actually calls themselves a doctor!!

I'm not sure what happened to the doctors and staff before but my most recent visits cost me my dogs life. Recently I brought My Batman in for a scheduled appointment. I had concerns about his breathing and emphasized how difficult it was for him expecting medical advice and help so that he would get better. Instead I had to except poor feedback ,neglect , disregard , and a lack of concern for his medical issues that resulted in his death four days after the veterinarian visit. To top things off I was billed for this! My Batman died and the worst part he suffered as of a result of neglect from the vet. I would like to express how sad and upsetting this entire situation has been for our family and would like an explanation! Why? Why would I need to have My dog put to rest four days later and spend additional money when I brought him in for an appointment. I was never told he had issues with his lungs after the appointment or that he would die in a few days .. Why? I would like answers. Not to mention the horrible treatment I received on the day of his appointment. The veterinarian till this day has not spoken with Me about his lungs or any other health issues.. I would like this addressed for My heart and peace of mind. Respectfully Barbara Rickmon

We also offer the option of paying in full if you prefer.

What is an Optimum Wellness Plan?

Banfield Pet Hospital | Oct 18, 2020

Optimum Wellness Plans are designed to provide annual preventive care. They include head-to-tail exams, vaccines, early screening diagnostics, consultations for proper nutrition, dental care and more! Since wellness plans are not insurance, they do not include treatment for unpredictable or abnormal conditions, however discounts would apply. Because pets need ongoing preventive care, wellness plans automatically renew at the end of each twelve month period (unless paid in full at enrollment).
