My husband stayed here because he recently had an amputation and I was allowed to stay with him to learn how to be his caregiver. The staff was very nice and professional, the facility was very clean and aesthetically pleasing, and the meals were healthy and yummy. The therapy sessions include group and individual therapies of 30mins. to an hour long over five days of the week to equal 15 hours of therapy every week. They’re flexible so if the patient is feeling too weak or sleepy they may reschedule the therapy session or if the patient has certain body restrictions the exercises will be modified. They teach good breathing and posture as well as exercises, reps and equipment options to easily perform everyday actions and grow muscles to become independent again. They treat all patients with dignity. A certain patient I spoke with has even chosen this facility over a handful of times over some years. My husband’s nurse case manager was very impressed with their organization, especially the “WITH” book that the patient is provided with to keep track of providers, exercises, etc. and even community resources after discharge. The nurses do have a lot on their plate so we understand that sometimes we have to wait after calling for them but when they are with the patient they address their needs and don’t seem to be rushing to the next patient. Special shoutout to nurses/techs Lindsey, Sierra, Raul, Wyson and Ismita who were timely and friendly. Special shoutout to physical therapists Kathy, Keylon, Tammy and Rachelle who helped with upper and lower body strength and were good humored and professional. They give each patient a shirt and medal and send them off with a little bell and pompom send off. I would highly recommend.

Both of my parents are elderly with underlying conditions that make recovery difficult. My dad was a patient in 2021 after surviving Covid, Delta variant. And just a few weeks ago, my mother fractured her femur about an inch above the fusion of her knee replacement. I cannot possibly say enough good things about this facility. They care they provide is specialized, and tailored to the patient. I was curious with my mother's hospitalization after my dad's if they program was the "same", it was not. Both of my parents had programs geared to where they were, and both made stunning postivie progress within a matter of days. Encompass has a very knowledeable person in charge of every department...respiratory, PT, OT, speech, case management, nurse supervisors. They assisted in setting up home health, and making sure we had the durable medical equipment we needed. I would unequivocally recommend this to any family trying to garner recovery care for a loved one. It's fairly easy to get a "real person" on the phone, and they welcome family visits from 8-8. Meals are made to order, and are similar to restaurant (mid level) quality meals...even for diabetics. Both of my parents were disappointed the first meal after coming home, asking, "Where is my desert?" I feel like everyone there went above and beyond to help both of my parents. My goal is to keep my parents together and in their own home, and I felt heard and understood by the staff. I send my most sincere gratitude to Encompass Richardson, and wish them many blessings as they continue to assist people seeking recovery.

This place is something else. My uncle was there and was left alone in bathroom as they knew he had no mobility on his right side at all and was put on a toilet and left alone and fell and busted his eye open along with a bruise down the side of his face. This place did not even notify us even after knowing we come everyday. They just transferred him to another facility. When we came and saw this, we immediately called them and the games begun. Just leave a message. Do not take a loved one or even an enemy here.

Yes they can...we have rollaway beds for family members. Just let the staff know you will be staying with your loved one.
