I've been enjoying this museum since my first trip in 1970 when I was in elementary school on a field trip. And when I think about the Amon Carter museum I immediately think about the painting Parson Weems' Fable" by Grant Wood. I also enjoy the perfect placement of the museum to where you can stand on the steps and look out at the beautiful view of downtown Fort Worth from an elevated point. The placement of the sculptures "Upright Motive No. 1, 7, and Glenkiln Cross by Henry Moore in the eastern edge of the plaza even adds to the beauty of that view! In 1976 Henry Moore visited his work and said "I love to see the sky as a background for my sculpture, it's often a better background than any other."
