It’s only open 3 days a week. Not a serious museum.

Great to see the volunteers working to restore the planes to flying conditions. Very good collection to aircraft.
Scott Backer
Outstanding place to hang out and check out some cool planes!
Eric Wise
Excellent museum. Very cool to see all the aircraft under maintenance. Unique experience

Yes...mostly during the airshow days...check out the upcomming Wings over Dallas CAF airshow.
There are 2 hangers. One of them houses planes that aren't operational and/or planes that are being rebuilt. That one isn't air conditioned. The other one houses operational planes and is climate controlled.
It is well worth the visit just going through the hangers, hopefully the internal museum will open soon if it isn't already.
I'm a volunteer there. With interested parties I can take an hour or more just introducing the airplanes. Most people will spend two to three hours. On Saturdays planes are usually flying if the weather is right. We don't fly much in July and August due to the heat.
