I believe there are multiple masses on Ash Wednesday if you look at their website. My parents usually go early in the morning and I know they have an evening mass.

Wow, that's really rude! I would call the office of the diocese and ask them who to call. I would also tell them about the trouble you had with St. John's. There's no excuse for rudeness.

St John doesn't do a Latin mass. There are 2 parishes within the diocese that do. I don't remember which ones but if you call the diocese, they can tell you. I do know that St Mary in Fort Worth does mass in English but pre-vstican 2 style, facing away from the congregation.

There is a small chapel to pray that opens I believe st 7 am. The entrance is on the backside, away from Glenview.

They help everybody. I am sorry you have had a bad experience. I have had them help me, and I have also contacted them and received no help. I think it depends on the person you get or the time of the month. They have a limited amount of funds to help many people. Try going to the office if you can. Reach out to all Churches in your community, the Catholic community is not the only group willing to help. Keep faith. Hope this helps.
