I always enjoy my visits to Calloway's. I found some things that suited my ideas and plans for my garden this year.

My daughter and I had the best customer service today (7/22) at the Richardson store thanks to an employee named Allison. She first helped with my question over the phone - going above and beyond - and then in the store. She looked to be working alone there in 100+ degree heat, yet she was cheerful, friendly, informative, and helpful. I wish more stores’ employees could be like that for their customers! It made our whole day brighter!

I think in the spring. Early spring before the heat of the summer so it can establish. I am not an expert though but have grown roses for many years.
Shumard Red Oak, now is a good time to plant, fall is best, but you can plant now

Creeping Jenny is a "vinelike" plant. It is also known as Moneywort. And, yes, those are the names you ask for at the garden shop. The plant looks great in pots with other taller plants. It will flow over the plant and "creep" down. It is gorgeous and I've had varying colors of green in the past. Get some. You'll love it.
