I had a noon tee time yesterday (Saturday) with some friends visiting from Nashville. I’ve played Kierland many times over the years and I always considered it a reasonable resort course. Generally speaking, I would say that Westin and Troon Golf get things right. After yesterday’s experience I have a vastly different opinion. We arrived around 10:30 thinking we would grab a late breakfast before teeing off. Bad idea, the restaurant wasn’t opening until 11:00. The staff sent us over to Edie’s (the halfway house) to grab a bite. While Tracy was very polite and helpful they had no breakfast menu items other than some pre-made bagel sandwiches. Not good! Following our warm-up we were greeted by the starter and he pointed us to the first tee. We were very surprised to see a 5-some in front of us. Making matters worse the group also has 2 young ladies with them who from time-to-time decided to whack away as well. Needless to say, the play was extra slow, and nobody cared. We spoke to a ranger who thought it was quite amusing that there were 7 people in the group ahead of us. At the turn we spoke to a member of the player personnel team and he informed us the group was only playing 9 holes. He was wrong!!! We endured the grind on the back nine as well. We finished our round 5 hours later and nobody was available in the golf shop for us to speak with. Overall, our experience was miserable and Troon Golf failed to deliver a quality experience. Shame on you Troon Golf!

Beautiful course for this time of year and very friendly clubhouse and workers, however for how much $$ they charge (spent almost $800) you would think that they would space the tee times out, they pack you in like rats. It took my foursome 5 hours and 20 minutes to get through 18, not worth it for price unless you want to sit for 15 minutes before you tee off on every hole.

Beauty of a course. Exceptional customer service. 10/10 would recommend if you're visiting the area.

Weirdest rule but you can’t use the range if you’re not staying at the resort. It’s a driving range not Maidstone in the Hamptons. Here is a pic of how close I got to the range. As you can see not very far. Go to Top Golf if you want to hit some balls.

Same as for public.
Mesquite, ironwood...not sure on the other nine
Open to all. You just have to pay for range balls.
They have rental clubs, the range has balls and a tee time is a must
kgc is a public course. there are greens fee discounts if staying at the resort or in the time share condos, and discounted rates if booked thru the kierland website and golfnow.com. you can check with the director of golf re yearly membership priviliges.
Yes, this is where you get fitted for All Pings. Just head to the driving range, but make a appointment first.
