Community Volunteers in Medicine (CVIM) is a non-profit organization that serves the medical and dental uninsured residents of Chester County and the surrounding area. We recently collaborated with the Arc of Chester County and their Comprehensive Employment Services Division. With the assistance of Patty, the employment coach, we are very pleased to have Anthony help us to maintain our lunchroom and other general facility care. His training and training tools have prepared him to work more independently and carry out his tasks with little supervision. The Arc’s specialized training and customized learning tools have prepared Anthony well to be part of our workforce. He utilizes a visual schedule to flow through his shift. Each task that Anthony performs had an initial task analysis; a routine developed; prioritization established and on the job training. Patty has reviewed the fading plan, training plan and future steps so we know what to expect as Anthony continues working with CVIM.
