The worst place ever.

Had an ER visit this evening. The wait time was appropriate. Lisa in Access was pleasant and professional. PA Stacey was kind and thorough with information. Nurse and CT tech were great. Thanks Virtua

This is the WORST place ever! I went here in February of 2020 with bad chest pain and down around near flank pain, trouble breathing, can't lay flat, dyspnea (trouble breathing), black outs, dry cough and they did an EKG, blood tests, a chest x-ray and CT scan. The ER doctor, Dr. Omid Rowshan said, with a gleeful disposition, something to the effect of "there's nothing emergent going on, all the tests are fine and you're being discharged.' My discharge instructions were to follow up with PCP in 2 days. I was not told that any tests were abnormal and I have Lupus (SLE) and Fibromyalgia, but never had any cardiac involvement. My symptoms continued and began to worsen. It got to the point that standing up from a sitting position and taking two steps made me feel like a ran a mile. 7 days after being discharged from this dumpster of a hospital, I called 911. I explained to them all of my symptoms and how I was discharged from this hospital a week prior with the SAME symptoms. At the time, I lived a five minute car drive away from this hospital. The EMTs asked if I wanted to be taken to Virtua Memorial (20 mins farther away than Willingboro) instead and i said yes. Within 15 minutes of arriving at Virtua Memorial, they did an ECG (Echocardiogram: an ultrasound of the heart), a test that Willingboro hospital never bothered to do. Shortly after they received the results from the ECG and bloodwork that they ordered, I was admitted. At this point my vitals began a downward spiral. My blood pressure was plummeting, i was screaming in pain and going in and out of consciousness. I was transferred to Cooper University Hospital in Camden (35 mins away), My blood pressure was so low that during transport I couldn't receive any medicine for the pain because the risk was too high. Upon arrival to Cooper, they did another ECG, at 29 years old, with no history of any cardiac disease or disorder, I was diagnosed with Congestive Heart Failure caused by dilated Cardiomyopathy. My ejection fraction was visually measured at between 10-15%, a healthy EF is between 55% (which is the very low end of healthy) and 75% I found it odd that I went to the hospital a week prior with the SAME symptoms and had tests done and was told I was completely fine, so I requested my records from Willingboro on the day I went to their ER. I took the records to a health professional to interpret the test results and explain it to me. The testing that was done was not "fine" as the ER doctor said it was, it was EXTREMELY abnormal and pointed towards heart failure, Even the EKG was abnormal, and not tachycardia abnormal, it was heart failure abnormal. I pulled the imaging, not just the written report, and they did show pleural effusion and other issues, contrary to what they said. The ER doctor didn't even bother to ask for a cardiac consult. If I didn't call 911 that day I likely would be dead. One of the doctors on the cardiac team I had at Cooper told me, a few days into my hospital stay, that they didn't think I would survive the night I came in because of how terrible my vitals were. Since then I had a cardioverter defibrillator implanted in my chest because I have a significant risk for sudden cardiac death, I am currently in the process of getting an enormous amount of testing done as I am rapidly approaching the last stage of heart failure and I will need to have my candidacy for LVAD and heart transplant, evaluated, My heart is very dilated and my current cardiologist does not believe my heart will be able to sustain my life for much longer. Moral of the story: you know your body, if you feel like something is wrong then go with that. If I had just went along with what the ER doctor said at this horrible hospital, I'd be dead,

Nurses offered me a warm blanket every 10 minutes. Everyone was really comforting, no complaints
