Just recently stayed at the Theif River location and our experience was not great. The price for the room was good but the customer service was terrible. I paid for 4 bands for the water park not knowing my youngest would swim free. The worker at the front desk didn't ask ages just charged for the 4 bands. My wife went up and asked if we could get a refund and the lady snapped at her and shoved a paper in her face saying absolutely no refunds. Tried talking to the manager which got us no where. I made a suggestion to fix their customer service and the lights in the hallways. The lights flicker like you are in a scene from a horror movie. No ice on any of the floors. None of the food establishments were open past 8 and the Waterpark closes at 9pm.

Very disappointed. If you are an early riser, you must wait until 8:30 to get into the casino, eat at the deli or get real coffee. Room was nice, however, fridge didn't cool & coffee maker had a defect.

We stayed at the Thief Rivers Falls location with the water park. This location is in the middle of nowhere with absolutely nothing around. You are pretty much stuck there dependent on the Casino resort. The rooms were okay, very small bathroom but at least the room was updated. The food was not that good. I ordered nachos and all you get is store bought tortilla chips and cheese sauce. My kids had a pepperoni pizza which they said was good. My husband ordered a hamburger which they ran out of tomatoes and everything else that goes on a burger. When he got it, there was just hamburger meat and nothing else. My husband had to ask for ketchup and mustard which they gave him packets of. After a while the hamburger he ate played havoc on his stomach and he was going back and forth to the bathroom all night. This tells me that they are not practicing safe meat handling measures and most likely there is cross contamination. To the Manager of the Casino Restaurant: Please make sure your workers are practicing safe food handling measures. (IT'S NOT COOL TO GET PEOPLE SICK!!!!) A lot of the Casino slots were old and dated. They have some new ones, but not many. The casino is small, no actually nice sit down restaurant where you can order a steak or a nice salad. They only have a snack bar where you order quick stuff like hamburgers, hot dogs, pizza, etc... There is no bar at the casino resort at all. They do not allow alcohol at all in the resort which is a bummer. For some strange thing they had a bunch of lights blinking in the hallways which also tells me they are not keeping up with regular maintenance around the resort. Oh yeah, the water in the water park was very cold and spent most of the time in the hot tub. Our overall experience of this place was not a good one and would not recommend this place to anyone. I have to give it a thumbs down and won't be back.

Our recent stay was a disaster. Several times the keys to our hotel room would not work resulting in running back and forth to the check in desk. What fun!! Initially staff even accompanied us to let us in using their master key...this should have been our clue to find another hotel. By the time we got to the gaming floor, around 6 pm, we found the snack bar had already closed for the night so our food coupons were useless! When we tried to use them the next day they had expired. Explaining this to management was pointless as they, as well as other staff, didn't care. Also a sign near the casino entrance stated their "extra slot play benefits" changed in early January even though the March newsletter we received in the mail still listed those benefits. Overall staff just didn't care so voicing our displeasure was like talking to a brick wall. We highly suggest avoiding this place as our experiences at other casinos was pleasant compared to this nightmare!!

Lately, their menu sucks because they can't keep employee's. At $9 an hour, I wouldn't work there either. You figure as much as the casino makes, they'd take better care of their employee's.
They just emailed me and wrote the "higher" execs banned them due to an accident of one exploding on their property and the owner had burns to his leg that required paramedic attention. Your thoughts???
My lady leaves there every time with more than she started with. Not much more but considering the time spent there it has been worth it.
The players club offers a 10$ voucher with proof of anniversary date for the restaurant
