We stopped just to take scenic pics and use the restroom. It is a very beautiful area! The restroom was kinda odd, but it served its purpose and was clean.

Great spot to stretch your legs, coming or going from Tahlequah with great views of the Illinois River. There is a restroom (sometimes no toilet tissue) and boat access, also fixed grilling grates if you're planning on staying out for a little while.

I didn't see any hiking trails when I was there, but there is a light current river that you can cross I'd you're equipped. Lots of places to explore!
