This year's tax return was so outstanding. This is the first time I have had someone do my personal taxes. Not only was this the most significant return they corrected an audit from the last two years and corrected that also. This team is no joke. The only firm I will use. Amazing service.

We have used the services of Randolph Law Firm, P.C. for our bankruptcy which was not an ordinary case. Me and my wife moved to Las Vegas, Nevada in December 2018. But, soon after I lost my job, got disabled with still lot of debt to be paid. I never thought of bankruptcy since my credit score was consistently above 800. Our situation got complicated because of the fact we had to live in state Nevada up to 40 months in order to file a bankruptcy. Thanks to Randolph Law Firm, P.C. staff, namely Nicole A. and Donovan B., their patient and compassionate assistance, finally we got it done, our case got filed a few days ago. Me and my wife want to express a our gratitude for the help through all this trying time for us. Tigran and Ani

Questions & Answers

The IRS has a lien on my house and I want to sell. Do I have any options?

There may be a variety of options available to you. When the IRS puts a tax lien on a home and you decide to sell, the agency has a right to collect the proceeds from the sale to satisfy your debt. However, if you have the resources, you may be able to pay your bill in full to get the lien released within 30 days. You may also be able to apply for a lien withdrawal if you meet the eligibility guidelines. In some cases, we can work with the IRS to have a tax lien discharged. If the lien is discharged, your home can be transferred to the new owner and you can use money from the sale to pay off your debt. To determine the best route for you, give us a call.

I'm getting audited by the IRS. Do I need to hire a lawyer?

When you are facing an IRS audit, hiring an experienced tax attorney is likely a good choice. Our firm can deal directly with the IRS on your behalf. We can negotiate a settlement, establish a plan to pay off any tax debt owed, or help you file an appeal.

I have old tax debt can bankruptcy help?

Anonymous Person | Oct 18, 2020
Randolph Law Firm, P.C. | Oct 18, 2020

In many cases, people in Nevada who are eligible for Chapter 7 bankruptcy can have their tax debt discharged if enough time has passed. There are also opportunities for addressing old tax debt when you file Chapter 13 bankruptcy. If the IRS has already file a tax lien against your property, however, the debt turns into secured debt. When tax debt is secured, it cannot typically be discharged in bankruptcy.

Can you help me stop foreclosure?

Randolph Law Firm, P.C. | Oct 18, 2020

Yes, our team is experienced in helping struggling homeowners find foreclosure prevention solutions in Nevada. After we’ve taken a closer look at your situation, we can evaluate whether loan modification, mediation, short sale, or even bankruptcy might be in your best interest.

How much do I have to pay to file bankruptcy?

Anonymous Person | Oct 18, 2020
Randolph Law Firm, P.C. | Oct 18, 2020

It depends. The cost to file bankruptcy in Nevada varies depending on the type of bankruptcy filed, the number of creditors, and the complexity of the case. In addition to attorney’s fees, you’ll be responsible for paying filing fees and applicable court costs. If you file Chapter 7 and make less than 150% of the federal poverty guidelines, you may be able to get your filing fee waived. If your filing fees cannot be waived, a payment plan may be available.
