TL:DR: We basically both agreed that if we were to stay another night. we would find a different place to stay. When we first arrived the front desk person must've been smoking weed in the back room, the entire entry way smelled like dank; not the best first impression after a long drive. Our room was decent, a/c worked well and the shower was alright. The rest of the hotel had carpeting that was super dated/worn and the outside of the rooms looked like it was from 1999 for the most part. It really seemed like the whole place needed a REALLY deep cleaning. When we checked out the next morning the front desk person was different and the weed smell was gone, she was courteous and what you would expect in a professional environment, kudos to her. Didn't even want to try the pool if the rest of the hotel was kept to this standard. Morning breakfast was just what you would expect, nothing out of the ordinary there.

Every staff member was a delight and pleasure to interact with!! The young lady with the red hair and gentlemen working the night shift had to deal with a bunch a drunk dart players and handled it like pros!! Thanks again for the accommodations!

Positive: Everything about The Country Inn in Forest Lake is Great.When the Management is Great Everything else falls in place. All the workers are friendly, they all smile and welcome You.They have a great hot breakfast. Negative: Nothing bad the only thing is the building is aging on the outside but the staff Make up for that. Nice Clean rooms. Comfortable beds.
