Popp’s Ferry Dog Park

It's a nice dog park with nice people. The biggest problem is people who bring their dogs to the dog park and don't monitor them at all. Also went home with fleas that ended up infesting our dogs. Don't take your dog to the dog park if they have fleas. Idk why you would do that but just don't.

Usually love bringing our pup here. He’s super friendly. Except today, although our dog was super happy to see and be greeted by many nice dogs there was 1 single dog that growled and snapped at our dog twice. The owner did nothing when the dog was aggressively standing over our dog. This was as we were entering the gate. We had to grab him and decided to just leave. Owners need to be more responsible for there pets. I didn’t see this dogs owner take any action during the entire thing. Even when we decided to leave. If you have a potentially aggressive dog that can be set off by other dogs, a dog park is NOT the place to bring them. Or if that happens take control it’s your responsibility.

I have a small dog that is easily scared, and she loves it when she comes here. Most people watch their dogs, I let her run around with the big dogs. She's made friends, which makes me very happy. Not everyone picks up their dog's poop as they should, so just watch where you step and I wouldn't wear sandals. There's also toys scattered about, places to sit and bowls for water with a water faucet and a small plastic pool for the dogs to enjoy. The only thing I don't like is that when it rains the ground gets VERY muddy. But I'm just grateful this dog park is here.

Awesome place. Our first visit with our adopted fur baby Santana and he loved it. Never seen him so happy. The park is kept up very well. They have water stations. Toys, and relaxation places to sit. A small dog park and a larger one. I love how they have fenced areas so the dogs do not come in contact unless they are friendly and comparable. Someone really knew what they were doing when they designed this place. Tax dollars are used very wisely here.
