I GO THROUGH THE SPEED TRAP EVERYDAY AND YOU CAN ALWAYS BET THEY ARE PROFILING. THEY PICK ON PEOPLE WITH OLDER MODEL VEHICLES OR BLACK PEOPLE. IT'S VERY DISTURBING AND DISAPPOINTING.

I have lived in springboro my since I was 5 (I'm 25 now) and have had nothing but bad experiences with springboro pd. They regularly pull drivers over for little to no reason to then fish for something to write a ticket for. I was pulled over tonight after being followed from 75 all the way to downtown springboro. I made a stop at udf and was told by the officer that was "suspicious" and he asked to search my car. I've never been convicted of any sort of drug offence and never even been placed in handcuffs! I'm a big supporter of our men and women in blue however springboro pd give police a bad name. They need to find something to do other than harass innocent civilians. Officer Baker was the one who pulled me over and I will bs filing a complaint to the chief of police. Just because you have a badge does not give you the right to stop and questing anyone and everyone.

Two friends, one of which lost her dad today, asked me to pick them up from a bar in Kettering and drive them home in Springboro at 2:45am. I happily obliged as it was a very somber day for her. Pulling in to Settlers Walk an officer pulled me over, claiming I didn’t use my turn signal. After giving him our 3 ID’s and then asked if I’ve been drinking. I told him no and that I don’t ever drink. Nonetheless he insisted I take a couple of tests outside the vehicle and I happily obliged. Back up immediately arrived. He had me stand on one foot with the other in the air in front of my planted foot half a minute. Even in my younger days that would be challenging After 20 minutes of this, and with my friends patiently waiting in the car the whole experience became insulting, irritating, and both officers were disrespectful. After getting back in my vehicle officer Dustin Hogan had me get back out of my vehicle and take a breathalyzer test which blew 0.0. When I ask for an apology, Hogan went off on a rant on how 35 years ago when I signed for my first drivers license.....and went on and on in his angry rant. What ever happened to courtesy and treating people with respect? I understand that at 3 in the morning there may be drunk people driving around , there probably is, but there are also people just helping out friends going through horrible times during this Thanksgiving week. I have always had high regard for police officers and giving donations and discounts to police at my company, but tonight’s experience with the Springboro PD cracked the foundation of trust I had with them. My friend that lost her dad today got pulled over in Centerville this morning rushing to the care facility to get there before he passed. The Centerville Police Officer gave his condolences and best wishes and sent her on her way w/o a ticket. She said the officer was very kind and understanding and compassionate. We are both thankful to that unknown officer especially on such a horrible day.

Anyone else notice the kids knocking on doors trying to raise money for college (today)? Is this group local? Do they need city permit?

There not local. They are dropped off into our streets and buying magazines wont pay for anyone's college. Ask the kids if they are ok maybe they need. Help. Maybe they are stuck working for people mistreating them.either way ask questions.
