I have given 2 separate 5-star ratings to the docs I have seen at Beacon. This 2 star is a result of my disappointment in Beacon from when I messaged my doc's team via the patient portal and was ignored. After no response, I followed up and called Beacon's main number and was assured that I would get a call from the doc's team, but did not. Being ignored two times resulted in me dealing with several days of sleepless pain. Dr. Chandoke apologized, said this should not have happened, and gave me his staff's direct number for the future. Had Dr. Chandoke not regained my confidence with his proactive response, I was planning look into Mayfield, as I found this unacceptable. Outside of this, Beacon seems to be on top of things, friendly, and very efficient.

We waited over an hour with no update of the wait time. I saw other people being notified that there would be a long wait time so they were able to leave and come back. With all of the other notifications you all are able to send out. It would be helpful for the front desk to communicate that the doctor is running an hour beind OR send out a notification (via text, phone call, etc.) telling us there will be a delay. There was not one apology given for the inconvenience of having to wait. We arrived for a 9:40 appointment and weren't back in the room until 10:40. I understand things happen but what I am upset about it the lack of communication to me about the situation. Very inconsiderate and rude. Especially when I see that information being voluntarily given to other individuals. If I could rate below a 1 I would. Do better beacon at communicate to ALL waiting patients.

The policy for one visitor at a time is ridiculous! The front staff was very rude one particular lady I get that they are still in Covid mode but come on! My mother was very anxious and her anxiety was a mess I didn’t want to tell my own father to go sit in the car while I wait with her . It’s not a mindful experience for any families .

My Mom went here for knee surgery. The next day she had to be rushed to the emergency room after passing out. She had to be administered narcan TWICE. Her meds backed up in her system for lack of being properly hydrated. It was the end of the day and we think they were in a hurry to get off work. SHE ALMOST DIED. If you need orthopedic work done I'd go elsewhere. I write this from beside her bed at Bethesda North.
