New to town and very happy finding this violin shop! We rented a violin and viola here for our kids and we’re impressed with the great quality of the instruments. Also a great price! Staff is knowledgeable and professional and the store is kid friendly. Really happy doing business here—highly recommend.

Questions & Answers

Since schools are going away from the recorder and opting for the uka as the general elementary instrument. How much should a music teacher spend on one?

Hello Brian! We offer a fine range of ukuleles for our budding musicians. Our Amahi Penguins are usually the go-to option for young students; they come in a fun range of colors and designs at a very reasonable price range of ~$50, and are able to produce very nice sounds while being very kid-friendly! You can come demo them anytime. As for music teachers, it depends- we do offer special pricing for teachers, though I would call in to ask for specifics on pricing plans (especially if you're teaching at a local school district)!

Hello. I have to renew my son Viola by this Friday (September 10). But we can't make it on time for business hours this week. So I'm going to make time next Thursday (September 16). Can I renew it next week?

Hello there! Thank you so much for your question. In these uncertain times, the safety of our staff and customers takes precedent above all else. COVID-safety is an absolute high priority at our location. To this end, we have implemented the following measures: -Wiping down and disinfecting surfaces every few hours in our store -Allowing a maximum of one family in our store at all times -Giving priority to visits made by appointment -Introducing curbside pickup options for customers -Installing a plastic screen at the service desk -Installing an antibacterial air filtration system -Mandating masks at all times for employees and customers -Mandating a 6-feet spread policy between all persons in our store We hope this helps, and we thank you for your concern. Please rest assured that everyone's safety is always the top priority in our stores. If you have any other concerns, please feel free to ask us anytime here or on the phone!

Do they accept fixing string hight and changing ukulele string? If they do, how much doee it cost?

Antonio Violins & Ukuleles | Oct 17, 2021

Hello Asuka! Our general labor cost (if you are not under a rental plan with us that covers maintenance) is $60/hour. Changing ukulele strings takes on average about 15-20 minutes, with fixing any string height issues being another 10-20 minutes on top of that. That would therefore be anywhere between $25-40 total depending on exactly how much needs to be done! We definitely recommend coming into our store with your instrument so we can have a look and give you a proper quote (:
