Finally got to try this place and, honestly,we were not impressed. The beer was warm, my mixed drink had no alcohol in it,or it's the weakest drink I've ever had and I don't drink very often. It was supposed to be an orange cream drink with, and I quote,"plenty of rum". Nope.😒 I sent it back. At least my side salad and the burger was good. Decently priced. I gotta add that what they call inside is really just a big covered deck with ceiling fans. If the temperature is decent, there's a nice breeze blowing And it's not packed then it's ok. Today it was HOT! Thank goodness they weren't awfully busy because I can't imagine trying to enjoy my meal if it was 95+ and packed.

Nice little place. Not really a secret, but I know alot of locals who have never been here. We got at least once a month. The cheese grits are pretty good. Whenever we have guests this is a place we take them or recommend it. Definitely worth a try and the prices aren't bad.

Oar House is such a cool place and dining experience; great beach bar. The food was okay. We had oyster and shrimp baskets. The oysters were large which made them a bit tough/chewy but everything was well seasoned. The hush puppies were delicious. Our waiter, Irvin, was AWESOME, very professional and attentive; he should be made a manager! The only disappointment was the coffee cocktails.

WOW!!! First off, I wish I had taken pictures of my food, but at first site I rushed in for a bite and never thought of pictures again. I only wanted to keep tasting that amazing food. I had the fish and chips (I chose to get cheesy grits instead of fries). I've never had grits before, but I'm in love with these! I also had a Gator bite and that was delicious! Before even trying the cheesy bites the server told me if I didn't like them he'd give me chips instead. Also traded out a drink my buddy didn't like for a different one, free of charge. They clearly want the customer to be happy, and they succeeded. The atmosphere is also perfect! Beautiful views compliment the perfect cuisine! 6 STARS!

They have good salads. I do add fish to mine and fork lift it... You could order a salad, and fork lift it and it would be vegetarian, but possibly not vegan. Check to be sure. Fork lifted is when they add sauteed onions, peppers and mushrooms to any order. I do this instead of dressing. Delicious
Yes
Yes, I am pretty sure as we ate there with a group. Beautiful spot by the water
Best to call them directly. I think they would be able too
For some reason I think they have a couple of GF items...
No, its moderately price, its not a high end restaurant. Its a very casual beach dress place, so no not expensive.
During happy hour they do, I think it's like $5 for the shampoo and another $2 for conditioning.
Made in house. I am sure you can order one a day ahead.
The oar house does not take reservations and is a first come first serve restaurant, unfortunately, calling ahead does not minimize wait time, your party will be sat as quickly as possible upon arrival, if you have a group larger than 8 people you will be split between 2 or more tables, the oar house no longer pulls tables together for large parties. It is suggested that you have all of your party there, the oar house will not seat a group of more than 8 without the whole group being there, with the volume of business the oar house is experiencing and the lack of support staff that the entire service industry is experiencing; all of these systems set in place are to ensure efficiency and to provide the best experience for our guests. If you have to wait for a table, relax, order a drink, play some corn hole, watch the boats, or play volleyball and rest assured you will be seated just as quickly as possible.
We sat outside and it was great. Our server wore a face mask. The tables were appropriately spaced.
We just ate there a couple weeks ago. The answer is, Yes they wear masks.
Not that I saw but I don't smoke so I really was not paying attention for that section . I am sure there is one probably on the outside deck.
Their site says no reservations, first come, first served. Parties of 8 or more at least half need to be there before seated. There's a link.....
Good place to hang out for late lunches.
