You need your both certificate or other proof of U.S. citizenship and your Social Security number, and proof of address, if possible and a photo identification.
The State Dept. Is due to reopen access to courier companies in late July. As long as they open then as expected, yes it would be.
You should call the government directly for a death in the family situation. 877-487-2778. You will have to go to the nearest government agency to get it done in a few days.
You must always produce original documents when applying for a passport. If you have originals then yes you can get it done quickly.

Hello Oscar: The State Dept. has been closed nationwide since March 20th for expedited passports. There is nothing anyone can do at this point other than the standard slow service at the post office.
