I have been coming to Aglamesis Bros for YEARS. I make my annual pilgrimage from West Chester to get my Giant Pecandes (I graduated from the smaller ones) and the Montgomery location is where I have been going because the service is consistent, and it's less distance. One particular day, I came into the Hyde Park branch, and the candy attendant pulls a sign and points, saying that I now have to pay a custom packaging fee. Now keep in mind, I was ordering JUST Pecandes in that box, and a separate box with JUST Cashewdes... the extra fee would ONLY apply if I mixed them, which the sign clearly stated. I told her that I don't eat all the candy at once, and a bag would make them stick together (the box has a lining). I tried explaining this to the attendant, who rolled her eyes and then went over to her Manager, who, reiterated that this was the policy. She said she would help me as soon as she took care of the customers waiting at the fountain. About 10 minutes after, she came over and got the ENTIRE story... and then had to profusely apologize because the attendant got the situation wrong- they don't charge to box identical candies together! Just imagine if I hadn't stood my ground... they would have gotten an additional fee ON TOP OF the already costly pound of candy I was getting. Since I am a patient person, I expected the attendant to apologize, but she never did. Despite the decadent candy, it makes me have pause that it had to get to THAT POINT for me to get what I have been getting for over a decade! I know I'm not their typical clientele, but it's 2022!

Beautiful ice cream parlor...a piece of history..old fashioned tables, service, marble, service.....and the ice cream??? Amazing....sundaes? Fabulous! Chocolates? Crave-worthy!! Just go!

I've never gotten coffee there, so I don't know. The ice cream and chocolate is delicious, though

I have never had egg cream. I have had friends from the north east who have said they always got that. It sounded similar to an ice cream soda. I bet they would know at the store and might to able to make one for you.
Chocolate is made with dairy products, the percentage varying depending on the amount of chocolate. But there are exceptions. Do note that this is the Google Maps Q A Forum though, and your question would be best answered by calling the store directly.
