Got my impacted wisdom tooth taken out along with my other 2 remaining wisdom teeth with no problems!!! They put me under and I felt like I was in and out quickly! Recovered beautifully! The place is so clean and well kept! The comfort level was great! The other place that could have squeezed me in sooner didn’t want to put me under and remove all the wisdom teeth and kept coming up with excuses and attitude so I ran right back to this place and I am GLAD I did!!!! I even refer people here when they have teeth issues now that need surgery!

Dr Garcia-Rivera first became my oral surgeon back when he worked at Black River Oral on Washington Street. Such a wonderful dentist! He pulled all my wisdom teeth (with sedation.) And he extracted a cracked incisor later. Before I met him, I had a strong fear of dentists and assumed extractions would be even worse. Dr Garcia was incredible! Compassionate, relaxed, professional, and so fast. I swear it was only 30 minutes. He explained exactly what I needed to do post-extraction to avoid dry sockets and infection. He answered all my questions. He wasn’t like other doctors who get impatient or rush you out. I’m sure he’s repeated this information a million times, but he instructed me slowly step by step. It made me feel like he genuinely cares about my health and my safety. After he moved his practice to Nova, he is just as professional and skillful as ever. You’ll never be afraid, or be dismissed, or feel unsafe. Dr Garcia has such careful, fast hands and a very light touch.

Staff was very friendly and comforting, surgery took maybe 10 minutes, didn't feel a thing!

Dental implants serve as artificial tooth roots, providing a stable and permanent base for replacement teeth. Once dental implants have healed and fused to the jawbone, we attach dental crowns to the implants with an abutment connector. These dental crowns look, feel, and function as natural teeth.
Patients who have good oral health are most suited for dental implants. Healthy gum tissue and adequate bone allow dental implants to heal properly. Periodontal disease, teeth grinding, and smoking can interfere with the healing process. Daily brushing, flossing, and routine dental appointments are also necessary to maintaining implants.
Your jaw bone may not be ready for dental implant treatment if it has thinned or weakened over time. You may require bone grafting to help stabilize and strengthen your jaw bone. We can fill the empty socket with bone grafting material and prepare the area for a dental implant.
Patients don’t experience pain during a dental implant procedure once local anesthesia has been administered. Patients can experience mild discomfort after the local anesthesia wears off. Dr. Garcia-Rivera will develop a post-treatment plan to help you manage pain and discomfort and heal faster.
It can take anywhere from a few days to a couple of weeks to fully recover from wisdom tooth removal.
Allowing impacted wisdom teeth to grow can eventually cause problems like pain, tooth damage, and other complications.
Once anesthesia wears off following oral surgery, it is normal to experience pain, soreness, and discomfort. Talk with your oral surgeon about how to take care of your wounds and apply hot/cold therapy to the affected area. It’s also important to take medication as prescribed by your oral surgeon.
Administering anesthesia can relieve the pain of oral surgery. Local anesthesia is often used during minor procedures such as dental implant placement. IV sedation and general anesthesia are more commonly used during jaw surgery and wisdom tooth removal.
Yes, patients interested or in need of oral surgery must first consult with our oral surgeon. A consultation appointment allows us to properly examine your mouth, take digital x-rays, and determine an effective course of treatment.
