DJ's Dugout Sports Bar - Aksarben Village

Last night we had just left our cousins funeral and decided to go have a bite to eat and a drink… We went to DJs dugout and were basically scolded by the waitress or assistant manager. She was a female with long hair and heavyset. We were made to feel like we were in elementary school. There were 12 of us… All adults and we wanted two tables of six. We were told we needed to go to the back room because we had such a big group but there was no one in the bar area for the most part. We said we would like to stay in the bar and she proceeded to tell us that we were not allowed to get up or walk around or loiter near the bar. We asked the question… We are in a bar aren’t we? She said you can sit here but you cannot move from table to table you need to sit here the whole time. Needless to say we left because we were made to feel very inferior! They lost roughly $400 of business from very good patrons! We went a block away to the pizza shop and had a wonderful time! BTW….I never write reviews but felt I needed to this time!

Stopped in by myself to grab a bite before a concert. While ordering I asked about the size of a side order of tater tots. She looked at the band t-shirt I was wearing and said something about an "event menu" I couldn't understand. She said the tots were the size of "normal side" so I ordered them, along with an order of boneless wings.. When I received my order, I was not impressed at all. There was a basket of enough tater tots to feed at least 3 people! They were also undercooked and mushy, so 3/4 of the order went to waste. My boneless wings hardly had any sauce on them, and tasted like they'd been in a freezer for some time. I never ask staff to take something back, because if it's not done right the first time, I'm sure not going to take my chances a second time. To top it off, the clincher was when I received my check. It was $21 plus for the wings, tots, and a Coke. Really?? I guess I got the "event pricing". I definitely won't be back.

Excellent Location. Our server was top shelf and delightful. The Boneless Wing Sauces are tasty. This staff was great to work with being we had a large group and multiple checks.

The atmosphere is what one would expect for a sports bar. They have lots of TVs and some very large ones. The food is mediocre. The staff were friendly and helpful
