Rosey was very pleasant, patient and helpful. I had about a 40 minute wait to be seen but I didnt have an appt. I have no gripes on how I was treated and felt satisfied with my visit. My only concerns were the tight parking (I'm in a truck) and no paper towels in the bathroom. It was my first time there. It's easy to find also.

Not ADA Compliant. I got there to change some stuff on my SSDI. And Security told me i have to wait outside in the line. I looked at the line, and said there is no chairs AND my doctors have said i should not be out in the heat for more then a few mins due to my lungs. Security told me sorry but thats where your have to wait. I said to Security its in my SSDI records about the heat, its one of the reasons i got aproved for SSDI. She again said sorry sir you have to wait outside in line. (there was 18 people outside already) So I reported the office to the Americans with Disabilities Act for Not being Compliant to disabled people. I mean after all its all documented in my SSDI records about being in the heat. and it was 107F outside that day.

Went to submit a request and employee "Mrs. Lorena" (Window 3 on 6/22 around 10am) would not accept my paperwork, stating I needed additional information per policy. When I asked to see this "policy" either on a .gov website or on paper she stated that he could not find it but that it was an "in house" policy and that my application would most likely be denied. I didn't know Yuma Social Security employees can have their own policies apart from federal requirements. Very frustrating visit.

If you were married for 10 or more years, then yes, at 60 years old, she can claim it.
There is no cost. Just show your id and tell them your SSA number and your address. You will receive your new SSA card on the mail in 5 to 10 business days.

No it is appointments only call make an appointment to go in.
You can use passports and have the children present for the visit as well. For yourself a passport and government ID should work.
Your application must be mailed; the Yuma AZ office is closed!🤣
I went by on Monday. There is a sign that office is closed because of covid. The 866 number I n the door did not complete. I called the number listed on the website.
The best thing you could do is call them. They will tell you what to do and if you are collecting yourself they will tell you if it would be better to stay on yours or to collect his.
SSA visits are by appointment only; still some services are only by mail
