ABSOLUTELY loooove this place. It is tranquil, clean, and has friendly RVers. The owner, Cynthia, is accommodating, caring and informative. She has gatherings, such as karaoke, that bring the residents closer together. The rates are also very reasonable. It is close to shopping, gas stations and entertainment venues. When we are in the area, we will always plan to stay in this sweet park.

Disappointed to say the least. We asked for a back in place but we’re allocated a “buddy” park on same pad as another trailer literally 5’ from our door. We were unable to put out the awning or sit outside due to being so close to our neighbor. Sitting on drivers side of trailer was out of question due to aroma of sewage from the anaerobic sewer sprinklers. Highway 287 noise was bad also. Majority of park is occupied by full timers who appeared to have some decent pads, for $39 per night we did not. Must say the Wifi was the best we’ve had in a long time, we were able to live stream on our IPad. Update! Owner did call to apologize and offer to compensate us which we declined. Thank you Cynthia .

I stayed in this park for several months when it was just getting off the ground. When I came, the owner had several workers constantly adding gravel and leveling sites during the day on opposite side of park. Not only were they working but the owner Cynthia Burk was out there sweating with them. Laying sod and planting seed to make the park beautiful. The park is gorgeous with lots of big shade trees and room on each lot to make u feel at home whether you come for one night or decide to stay awhile. The owner always stops by after you're all set up to make sure you are happy with your spot and that you have everything you need. I really enjoyed this park as the Wi-Fi was remarkable and streams as though you were hard wired in. This is however a NEW park and the amenities are not all finished yet but she does have all the necessaties right now along with on-site laundry. It is a work in progress and a great place to stay. I was able to call her 24/7 for anything I needed and either she would come or have a worker in the park on call come. I only needed them twice after hours but she was right on it. Also the owner puts together pot lucks on the holidays and for anyone's birthday that so desires. I am heading back that direction again next week and have already called her for a spot. I am excited to go back and spend some more time there!

Songbird is a brand new park that I'm glad to see, because this is an area where there aren't many RV options! I have some acreage nearby but it's so rough that I can't get my big travel trailer into it, plus I would have to boondock anyway. So this is a great place to stay for me when I want to spend more than one day at the land. Songbird has 50/30/20A electric service at every site, city water, and on-site sewer. Live sewer is a huge thing to me, because I can't tell you how much I enjoy being able to take a long, hot shower without having to do the 30-second RV Rinse Dance. There is a laundromat in the office building, along with a park restroom and shower facility. WiFi internet is available, and reaches out to the camp sites. Speaking with the owner, she has plans to keep adding amenities, such as patio areas and a dog park. The park is conveniently located right on Highway 19/287 between Elkhart and Palestine, and has a shady, wooded sort of vibe. Both short and long-term guests are welcomed, but I only stayed a week this time. The town of Elkhart itself doesn't have a ton of dining or shopping opportunities, although the basic necessities are available there. They did just open a huge new Kim's Convenience store in Elkhart that has a butcher counter, deli, fresh produce, frozen items, grocery staples, and made-to-order sandwiches and meals. If you need more than that, the park is about 10 minutes from Palestine, which has anything you'd need. There are multiple dining options there, as well as Lowes, Walmart, and Tractor Supply.
