Salt salt and more salt. The worst steak I’ve ever eaten. I’m not from Macon so I don’t typically worry about a $50 steak, but considering the place is basically in the middle of a field there seems like no excuse. It’s a local watering hole for the sad people that somehow live in this sad sad place. Let them drink beer it’s all they have. I’d prefer to not have a full blown stroke though. I could hand a homeless guy $100 in my city to simply throw salt all over me if I wanted to toss money out the window and bring on hypertension.

This restaurant, owner, service, and food is 5 star. This was our first time to Macon and will definately return to the Pear Tree !

Ate at The Pear Tree this evening. Excellent wine selection, excellent food and service. The staff was super friendly and prompt and helpful. Best food we have had on our adventure in Northern Missouri. Will be back for sure!!
