Never been super impressed with the book collection per my specific needs. Hence 4 stars. BUT, today I needed print services & moreover tech support. I can not be more grateful for the help I received. I called just minutes after the a.m. opening about an email print issue and the guy that I spoke to, (sorry, should have asked your name)was amazing. So friendly & knowledgeable. It bode well for my in person need to visit for further resources with Janelle? I am sincerely impressed by the professionalism, tolerance and ultimately the kindness that everyone showed me today. Thank you all so much.

Yes, if you can provide something with your name and current address such as a utility bill or other piece of mail, we can help you get a borrower's card.
Yes, printing is available in black and white at a cost of 10 cents per page. Currently (December 2, 2020), we are restricted to curbside and drive-up services during COVID, but we can still accept print jobs sent through our mobile printing service. To learn more about mobile printing, visit our website (https://wichitalibrary.org/Services/Pages/copy-fax-print.aspx#mobile) or contact us at (316) 261-8500.
The Research Pavilion on the second floor (straight across from the stairs and elevator) has all of the local history and genealogy resources. I don't know if they have a dedicated DAR section, but the staff can help you find what you need.
It's geared towards everyone. It is a general public library that offers fiction and nonfiction books. The naming is a bit confusing.
The most recent Federal census data available to the public is that of 1940. However, you may be interested in the Polk City Directories, which lists all the adults in wichita. The first section lists, in alphabetical order by last name. The 2nd section lists by street name, and address, showing who lived at that address.
We have renewed your items. For privacy, we cannot provide more detailed information here. You can check your account at catalog.wichitalibrary.org to see current due dates.

It is and you don't require an appointment. However, you can research the card catalog online to get items for pick up. Online holds are $0.25 per item.
The web sights seem to be bogged down everywhere. Yes go in but remember your mask
Yes they are. The library cards are free and the pin number is usually the last 4 numbers of your phone number.
You should call or email the library and check if they have one. If not, you might try McCormick School Museum. They hold a lot of records , including yearbooks there.
Unfortunately, our most recent Computers for Beginners class was September 10 and we don't have another session on the calendar for this fall. However, you might be interested in a one-on-one session with one of our technology trainers. You can call (316) 261-8500 to schedule an appointment.
Library parking is primarily located in lots immediately to the west and south of the building. There is additional free parking in the area, including on the second level of the River Vista apartment complex across the street.
Library Board members are appointed to 2-year terms by their district's council member or the mayor. People interested in applying for the Library Board or other City of Wichita citizen advisory boards can learn more about the application process at https://www.wichita.gov/Boards/Pages/default.aspx.
Today's Computers for Beginners class at 10:30 is still scheduled to occur.
There is no cost to use the AV Studio, but a library card in good standing is required. Reservations can be made up to one week in advance. More information is at our website: http://www.wichitalibrary.org/Services/Pages/av-studio.aspx
Color printing is not available at this time. Printouts cost 10 cents per page in black.
