Salina First Church of the Nazarene has been my church sense the late 1970’s. This is where I learned walking with Christ is not always easy. Hard times will come but the Lord will walk with you. My understanding of God’s Word has increased under the wonderful preaching and teaching here. SFNaz is home and a place where I can serve.

First Church has a wonderful Pastoral Staff. We enjoy our Senior Pastor Dr. Jon Fillipi , as well as our Executive Pastor, John Luce. One or both are available 24 / 7 when the a need may arise. I am personally excited about our Church family. They are some of the greatest prayer warriors. They have prayed for me many times, most recently, when I needed open heart surgery. I appreciated all their efforts including a number of dinners brought to my home and the comfort they provided my wife during this difficult time. I could go on and on, but God lives at First Church and it shows from the moment you walk through the doors. We were looking for a community of believers that knew Jesus as their personal savior and practiced the life they conveyed after the church doors closed on Sunday's service. We found that in the First Church of the Nazarene in Salina. Senior Pastor, Jon Fillipi, is a bible believing man that not only preaches but teaches from the living word of God, His holy scriptures. A new message each Sunday morning and evening that you can take with you after the service. The music Pastor, John Luce, brings contemporary music blended with some traditional hymns in the morning service and traditional hymns in the evening service. At 3:00pm Sunday Iglesia del Nazareno Sunday School and at 4;00pm Iglesia del Nazareno Service by Hispanic Pastor Phil Torgrimson. In our search for a congregation eager to assist others in their search for God's will, we found that in Salina's First Church of the Nazarene. Church attendance can be intimidating, if we as individuals let it, but it doesn't have to be that way. God will meet your needs if you let to Him. If you should choose to make your way through our doors, my wife Glenda and I look forward to meeting you. If you should need help putting Christ in your life, we are here for you. Salina First Nazarene Church is a wonderful church family that welcomes everyone. Pastor Jon is focused on bringing people to Jesus so they can reach out to others. SFNAZ includes a Spanish speaking church, active childrens and youth ministries and exciting adult classes, studies, and fellowship activities. I have grown so much in my faith since coming here.
