Stayed 3 nights 30 SEPT - 03 OCT. 2 tents sites and 1 RV site. Very nice area. Very nice CG. Ross is very accommodating. The restrooms are pit toilets but VERY clean. Best hook ups as close to City as you can get. Would stay there again.

We loved our stay here. It was not very crowded and our spot was right next to the bathrooms and garbage cans. The bathrooms are vault-style, and they are hands down the nicest vault-style bathrooms I’ve ever seen. They don’t stink and they are well maintained and clean. You can tell that a lot of care was put into it- the decor of the bathrooms is really fun with with faux-wood wallpaper and antlers on the doors and as toilet paper holders. I have never before been so impressed by a campground bathroom! The owner was friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about the area. The site had electric and water hookups. It’s a dog-friendly campground, and there is a small enclosure meant for dogs to do their business, which is a fantastic idea, because my dog won’t go while on a leash. My only bit of feedback is that the sites could be more level. We will definitely stay again!

We came to the City of Rocks to shoot the Milky Way as the location in the sky was perfect at this time of year. What we didn't know is that June is National Rock Climbing ‍ month. Soooooo there were zero spots available inside the park itself. After driving around for at least an hour and a half, we pulled into the RV Park to inquire about a spot and found they have 3 tent sites available! Score!! The location is just outside of the National Reserve and very new. They have running water spigots and a fire pit at each tent site and RV site. There are also 3 very nice and clean outhouses, with solar lights when you go at night. The scenery is just gorgeous! They also offer wood bundles for sale, in case you didn't bring enough. The man who runs is with his family is super friendly and on top of everyone who shows up, greeting them within the first 5 minutes of their arrival. You can check in online ahead of time, or just drive up. There are multiple ways to pay, one being Venmo, which I really appreciated because it is so easy. They have done a wonderful job setting this up. It is pretty and clean.

Nice new place to camp in a trailer or RV. There are also a few tent sites. Very close to city of rocks and extremely well kept bathrooms. Water and power hookups. Picnic tables and fire pits. Owner is very nice and accommodating.
