Really tired of walking out of here empty-handed, after waiting days for an appointment. Usually some of the folks around me are, too. Just this year: I went to register my son's vehicle; he's in college. Nope! Due to "privacy concerns" I am not allowed to register his vehicle, even though his registration address is the same as mine! More recently, I went to title a newly-purchased vehicle. They wouldn't do it because the dealer hadn't signed and notarized the odometer disclosure on the back of the MSO (Manufacturer's Statement of Origin). Never mind that the dealer HAD included a signed odometer disclosure on a separate piece of paper. Add to that a lengthy and ever-expanding list of made-up fees that make cellular and cable pricing look honest and straightforward by comparison. My personal favorite is the "Clerk Hire Fee" that you are charged even if you renew online and no humans are involved. Fantastic!

Made my experience a very good one. Thank you.

The lady that sits in the folding table is incredibly rude. We came in to set up an appointment and was told we couldn’t set it up with her. We then set up an appointment and came in at our scheduled time. While waiting, the same lady at the folding table is setting up appointments for walk ins? Letting older folks jump our appointment time. Terrible person. She thinks she’s a gatekeeper of the license plates and decides who she helps based on how they look. 0 stars if I could.

Decent place. When they honor your appointment times that is. Still waiting 30 minutes after my appointment time.

Please visit the state website at mydmv.colorado.gov, under the Vehicle Services option, you may report a "Release from Liability". Use this request to voluntarily report an ownership transfer for your vehicle. You will need your license number and VIN number or the verification code from your registration receipt. Vehicle owners are still required to sign their title over to the new vehicle owner and the seller should remove their license plates before completing a motor vehicle sale. Pursuant to C.R.S 42-6-109(3), created with Senate Bill 18-073, a person transferring ownership of a vehicle may voluntarily notify the Department of Revenue, Division of Motor Vehicles within five days of the transfer of ownership. This notification serves to remove the seller's liability for the buyer's actions involving the vehicle after the sale is complete. Information entered into this system is available to law enforcement agencies. For additional info please call 970-484-7878, Opt. 5.

Electronic test data from testing locations will be updated in DRIVES no later than the next business day to allow renewal online. Air Care Colorado provides gas vehicle testing at the locations listed below. For detailed information of services provided, see https://aircarecolorado.com/, or call the DOR emissions office at (303) 205-5603.
They say it should take UP TO 30 days to get the plates. However, you can go to the DMV for another temporary tag until the permanent plates arrive. If you purchased the vehicle through a dealership, just go back to the dealership and they can extend out the temporary tags for another 30 days then and there.
I think that the governor has announced that DMV IS BACK TO NORMAL OPERATIONS NOW.
Am not sure about drivers license but for license plates, you do
If you're renewing your tags you can use the kiosk. Inside King Soopers. They won't do them at DMV anymore.
I believe you need to go to the DMV of the county you live in.
When a vehicle is purchased, there are two choices for licensing: 1. Buy new plates. Current plate options are available at https://dmv.colorado.gov/regular-license-plates. 2. Transfer Colorado plates that were on a vehicle previously owned, or are no longer driving. If you choose to transfer plates from another vehicle: ** Bring the ownership tax receipt or registration from the vehicle you are transferring the plates from ** Bring the license plates from the old vehicle when you are changing vehicle types in your plate transfer. PLEASE NOTE: License plates can be transferred only when the names indicating ownership are the same on the old and the new vehicle. There are several exceptions to this rule, so if you have questions, please contact our office at (970) 498-7878 OR use our "Let's Talk" Chat feature at larimer.org/vl in the lower right corner, during regular business hours.
You need to still make appointments. Easy to do online.

Bring your ID and your vehicle registration and they can confirm and make a duplicate for a price. As long as the vehicle is registered under your name.

There is not a Kiosk available at this time because the Human Services building at 1501 Blue Spruce Drive in Fort Collins, CO is still closed. You can go to the Loveland Human Services building at 200 Peridot Ave in Loveland, CO and make a cash payment.
Need to contact department of child services to find that info out!
If you already have Colorado plates, you can renew online. https://mydmv.colorado.gov/_/#2
No this location is for vehicle titles and registration not drivers licenses
I was told that in Colorado the plates will stay with you not the vehicle. I'd hold onto them
My last temporary tag to repair vehicle for emissions was good for 60 days.
make an appointment on line have someone drive you, and they will help you get in and out. should not be too hard except the transport part, check with bus, and your neighbors I am sure someone will help you, Loveland is full of kind big hearted people.
I conducted business there of an entirely different nature. I did find them accommodating and helpful, so hopefully your needs can be met in the same way.
