Easy to get to from anywhere in town.

This has been my home airport for about 2 years, and I can't say enough about what an awesome airport it is! Journeys aviation is a wonderful school, people are awesome and super duper friendly, you get to see cool gliders, planes, and quite often helicopters! This airport is awesome! And for all the people that say things about noise abatement, the airport was founded in 1940, long before you decided to move right next to an airport.

Very easy to spot planes up close.

The only people who give this airport 5 stars are the ones with a plane flying into it. The rest of us can’t stand the constant noise coming out of it. Boulder loves to wave its climate flag but somehow is missing the boat on these lead and carbon polluters. They don’t even respect the noise abatement. It wasn’t always like this and they’re getting worse.

It isn't an international airport is only used for local flights and trainings with very little airplainens (like Pipers).
I have no idea. I was photographing planes, especially the fire fighting helicopters.
The airport is open to aircraft 24 hours a day but the terminal building is only open 8 am - 5 pm.
We do not have freight service, but an animal could be flown in by private aircraft or charter service.
Runway 8/26 is 4,100 feet long and the airport elevation is 5,288 feet above sea level.
