The staff at College Avenue Modern dental is friendly, and for a few years we felt that our family dental needs were being addressed here. However, after the main dentist left to join another team elsewhere during the pandemic, the staff covered the cleanings without a dentist until he was replaced. (Still charging for these visits as if they were being overseen by a doctor.) The fees stayed the same, and they started to charge $50 for adjusting tentative future appointments (even those made 6 months in advance for the next cleaning.) We recently asked to come in for some advice on a dental concern, and the only help that was offered was a quick referral elsewhere. The bulk of the staff is new; seemingly not aware of how to use the billing system, access patient files, or how to operate x-ray machines (they took a recent picture, couldn’t find the file, had to do it all over again.) The overall feeling of this office is that it is being run by someone who is in it for profit, and may not be trained as a dentist themselves. My current impression is that this office doesn’t have any desire to provide quality (and long term) care to my family, and we will be going elsewhere; effective immediately.

We do everything we can to accommodate same-day and emergency appointments, and are usually able to fit in walk-ins. However, during peak times we cannot guarantee that walk-ins will be taken. To save time, it's best to call our office before you come in to make sure we are able to see you.
For a root canal and a crown they told me it would be around $2000
We offer our patients a number of payment options, including 12-month, interest free financing, 36-60 month financing, monthly payment plan, cash, check, or credit card. For patients without insurance, we also offer and accept the Gloss Dental Discount Plan.

Yes, we currently are accepting new patients. Appointments can be scheduled online or by calling our office.
Yes! We offer a $59 special for new patients, which includes a cleaning, exam & x-rays. We also have a $19 exam and x-ray special. Some exclusions may apply.
We have an on-site parking lot available to patients.
Online scheduling is the easiest way to make an appointment and is available 24/7, but you can also call to make an appointment anytime during business hours.
Through a partnership between AARP and Delta Dental, AARP offers its members the option to enroll in a very affordable dental plan. If your AARP or Medicare insurance card has the Delta Dental logo on it, you are covered under this plan and we accept your insurance.
We do not accept Medicaid, but we do accept CHP+, which is for children and works similarly to Medicaid. CHP+ is offered by Delta Dental. If you have Medicaid, we do offer a dental discount plan that you can take advantage of.
