Management with DHC is very unprofessional, they lack knowledge, and try to charge you fees including late fees toward monthly rent already paid. DHC, especially at Forest Park Place also have a high rate of change in Staff regularly with employees who haven't a clue of what's going on.

This office is very unprofessional, since the pandemic happened they have not being doing their jobs at all, I had tried to call every number on their directory for emergency assistance regarding my case and I couldn't get not one person to answer. I'm currently trying to find out how to report them.

The Administrative Staff at Detroit Housing Commission assisted in covering up housing fraud. My family was illegally evicted from Cornerstone Estates Townhomes located at 3200 John C. Lodge Service Drive, Det., MI 48201 because I discovered Cornerstone Estates Leasing Office was stealing money from my family by charging a tenant rent increase 2 months before the effective date.

Questions & Answers

I want to know how to fill out the section 8 Application for Detroit Michigan?

Tracy Sullivan | Oct 18, 2019

The Detroit Housing Commission's Housing Choice Voucher Program (Section8) waitlist is currently closed. However, if you go to their office located on 2211 Orleans in Detroit, you could place your name on what is called the Mod Rehab waitlist which is a smaller program where the Section 8 voucher is applicable only to particular designated buildings. Hope this helps.

You have to wait until they complete your eligibility and approve you before you can start your housing search

They are not answering you will have to go down there.

I'm living in mold and have been for over a month in a half when I noticed mold on my shoes. This is unsanitary and they act like it's not a priority. I was suppose to have a mold inspection on September 23, 2021 which they never showed up

Good afternoon Mr. Brown while the employees do their best to be available to assist customers we have an extremely high volume of customer calls and needs. If you could ask your question here I may be of some assistance to you or at least put you in the right direction

I am a retired city of Detroit, I wanted info on buying houses for half off. Does the program include siblings and children? Thanks

That program is offered by the Detroit Land Bank Authority. Information can be obtained at buildingdetroit.org

Why is it no one wants to accept Detroit Hiusibg Comission. The house that i have been looking at i wouldnt let a homeless person stay in. Then we have the land lords that want 30% income times 3. Is this right
