I have reached out to upper management via the EWC contact us option and since I have not received a reply I will share my complaint about the Forest Hills location here. In April 2022 I received a charge to my debit card account without my knowledge and consent. On the date I received the charge, I was at the location for a service and though the manager was present, not a word was said about the charge. I waited a few business days for the charge to fall off as it may have been a mistake, however the charge remained present on my account. I called the location and requested information, however at the time of the call, I did not receive an answer or a call back from the manager. I appropriately disputed the charge with my bank as I did not authorize it. In May I received the same charge and quickly called the Forest Hills location to inquire about it. The manager discussed a wax plan from 2021 however by phone, it was not clear to me why my debit card was being charged. The manager did invite me to come to the location and I visited. At the location, the manager in her own words told me that she “went ahead” and charged me for a wax plan that was not correctly billed to me in 2021. I asked her with my phone number and email address on file, why she did not contact me about this issue and she did not have a response. She told me that I owed money and since I was using the wax pass, I provided a card that could be charged. I appropriately disputed the charge to my bank account as I did not authorize it and was able to provide confirmation that I provided a different card to be charged. Since this time, I visited EWC monthly. At the time of my service, the manager is present and does not discuss this billing issue. On a September 1, 2022 visit, a front desk representative discussed purchasing a wax pass and the manager replied to her “don’t worry about it” and discussed the disputed charges. This was unprofessional as the manager charged a card without my knowledge and consent. How is $215 being withdrawn over time from a customers card acceptable without their knowledge? I am present monthly at this location and every time I am there the manager is also present and she does not professionally seek to rectify this issue. This is a billing issue with EWC and I am puzzled as to why the manager has consistently and proudly handled this in an unprofessional manner. Since the front desk staff change, I have questioned if I will return to this location as the customer service has drastically declined solely at the hand of the manager. The September 1 handling of this issue solidified my decision and I have decided that I will not return to this location and EWC in general. I have requested for upper management to contact me via the EWC website however this seems to be impossible. I do not want a copy and pasted generic response to this comment and I would like to directly hear from the owner of this location as to why she allows her franchise to be ran poorly and why her employee feels comfortable making charges to customers cards without their consent. So far it's been one week since I've made the complaint and I have not heard from upper management. I do not want to hear from the manager.

Zero rating. How do you run a business and NO ONE answers the phone, the voice mail has been full for months, no one responds to texts and emails?????? Ewc fh use to be great until last year. I was going there for 5 years almost. Now, The receptionist are not pleasant, the great waxers ALL left and whatever happened to customer service. I personally am never going back there. Apparently you dont need my business enough to do your customers a favor and answer the phone or return correspondence. #personwhoneverleavesreviews
