Great "old time" hardware store! If they don't carry it, good luck! Friendly and helpful-worth the visit for the nostalgic perspective alone! WAY over priced for their masking/painting tape. One could buy three rolls for the price you will pay for one here - otherwise, pricing is comparable and competitive.

Overall, it’s a standard hardware store with some nice options for downtown Evanston. However, my lastest visit resulted in an unprovoked interrogation and lecture from staff for wearing a mask. People wear or don’t wear a mask for their own reasons, and that’s fine. But, mocking people for their decision either way is unprofessional and rude. Some of the staff are great. But, on multiple trips, the staff have been condescending. I want to like this store, but if it happens again, I won’t be back.
