Very nice park to visit. There are picnic tables with protected seating. Bathrooms are available. The style gave me jail vibes which stopped me from using them. Because there were so many small children I would of appreciated a more fenced in playground. There were also some sketchy people walking by so I would definitely keep an eye on my kids. But more fenced in playground would also make it feel more secure.

I walk my dogs there morning and night every day. As you can see in the morning Maple park is a flop house. At night it's a complete free for all.

The homeless population is bad throughout the city and it appears to be spreading to neighboring cities.
Yes there's a room there that I believe is able to be rented just call the Park District
