Really poor customer and job service. When I left the lawn mower machine in the AJ’s shop I was very specific that I would NOT fix it if the cost was more than x amount. I requested I call to let me know the price. They wrote it on my order. They never called me, when I went to pick it up the cost was way higher than I told them. The machine was also missing a bolt that I pointed out when I left the machine there. They also took note of it.

I had a terrible experience there and will never go there again or recommend to anyone. Summer of 2021. After my current small engine repair guy would no longer repair my old snowblower, someone mentioned this place, AJs. I had them pick up my lawnmower and snowblower both, which were both working fine, just for tune ups and a health check. Everything went south from there. Almost 2 weeks later i was wondering why i hadn't heard anything and called them. They said that my phone number 'was not working', and had already done 800 dollars of repairs. 800 dollars. I was very upset and yelled at them more then once. i was not expecting that, on machines that were old but working fine. Fast forward to getting the mower and snowblower back, i thought at least they would be like new, but now, neither of them even works. They are both far worse then before. the mower is impossible to start. Day 1 on getting it back. Even with fresh, new gas, its impossible to start. 20 minutes later, still trying to start it. Multiple calls and visits later, they insist its the gas, and how it has to be fresh premium, never mind it ran fine with regular (87) gas with stabilizer, for 20 years. Somehow it needs premium now. but its still impossible to start. IT HAD RUN PERFECTLY FINE WITH REGULAR GAS FOR NEARLY 20 YEARS. There was nothing wrong with it going in. It is now a pile of useless, unusable, junk. The snowblower, on the other hand, also much worse. Now it dies randomly, it never did before. The self propel mechanism just broke, basically in its second use of the season, this after hundreds in repairs. After over 800 dollars in repairs, i have two engines that don't run at all, and am going to junk them both. I told this story to two of my neighbors, and they both told me they had also been ripped off by AJs as well. Avoid like the plague.
