Good library with great views of the city. Need to pass through security and check in. Even though they say that the max time anyone could use a library was 2 hours, they didn't throw me out after 2 hours

This library is a shining jewel of Chicago. Certainly, the best thing about it is that it's located on the 29th floor, providing for its readers a beautiful view of the windy city. It being in a government building provides also a reasonable moderation, since those who enter are compelled to pass through a security checkpoint. The staff are kind and knowledgeable, and the library has internet. Admission is free for everyone, i.e. membership (or being a lawyer) is not required for entry.

Great view, super quite!

This place has some of the best views in the city. It usually stays pretty quiet so long as no one is giving out legal advices.

If you want free parking, you should try the law library at a branch court. For example, the Skokie courthouse has a library, and the parking is free there.
