Great place to donate items fairly used and you can actually shop inside the store, many items to buy inside the store, clean area, easy to locate, good staff

While I haven't been to this location for a couple years, we stopped in on a whim. Had junkstore like organization on shelves. Employees bumrush you to get out of their way, no excuse me, just right up on you like you need to move. There were 2 cashiers with a line. Apparently we got the one who hates life, people, or both. My husband is typically a quiet, very respectful man, and he was even frustrated with how she spoke to him about finishing the transaction. He followed what she said to do, but it kept cancelling and she says, "you doin' it wrong, that's why it done cancelled" while displaying her impatience with existence. Even though he did exactly as she told him, twice. I emplore Goodwill corporations to really consider looking into how their employees interact with customers and maybe some training in customer service, and a bit better grammar perhaps? Go to other thrift stores in area. They're cleaner, and their employees know how to act like they have some decency.

I am unsure if it was the neighborhood or demographic or what. But me and my government surveillance birds did not feel very welcomed at this location

No, they do not pickup. Goodwill has a drop off donation site. They will unload your donations for you.
Yeah and overpricing. You should find somewhere better to donate. Someone who actually does something for the communities that donate to them...
They have lots of plus size clothing any day is a good day because the clothing is not that high
I don't think they do anything special on Black Friday. But they certainly do have good speakers and such on occassion. It's just the luck of the draw, really.
My understanding is they take LED, LCD, etc. No tube tvs and I'm uncertain about older plasma and others.
They do not accept televisions, but will accept dvd players. I asked this question and the above was the response I got. Hope this helps.
Only drop off

No. You must go to a salvation army thrift store. Also, check with St. Vincent DePaul in Tinley Park they might be able to help you.
It is not by weight. Your tax accountant will have the best answer on helping you to determine the value of your donation for tax purposes.
